Our Art curriculum is designed to give our children a high-quality art and design education which engages, inspires and challenge them.
Our curriculum intends to equip children with the knowledge and skills to investigate, experiment and create their own works of art, craft and design, expose them to local and global traditions and renown artists’ styles.
As every child progresses through the school, they will develop their experience of drawing, painting, printing, sculpture, collage, craft and textiles through a progressive curriculum which instructs, builds upon and enhances their skills.
Art and design will usually be linked with curriculum themes in each class and makes a valuable contribution to fulfilling the 6 key aspects of a rich and cohesive curriculum at Boxford Primary School: Cultural enrichment; Opportunities for Technology; Golden thread of progression, Wellbeing, Enquiry and investigation, Whole child development.
